SCS 331  Social Policy

Explores key social institutions, laws, practices and norms, their roles in society, civics and government, and in public, private and non-profit sectors. Provides an overview of how local, state and federal government works on legislative, policy and programmatic levels in relationship to the development and functioning of social policy and programs. Examines the roles of advocacy and other strategies in building and remaking social institutions, including developing and sustaining social policy and programs.
