AT 509  Art Therapy in the Schools

This course provides an overview of how art therapy can be applied in the school setting. Using art examples, discussion and a hands-on approach, students explore how art therapy techniques enhance learning, provide assessment data and address behavioral and emotional concerns. This course is recommended for art therapists, school counselors, classroom and special education teachers, school administrators, or others wishing to acquire information about introducing art therapy into the school setting. Pass/No Pass grading not available. Cross-listed as AT 409  for undergraduate credit and as   for continuing education. 1 cr.
