ART 348  Introduction to the Chemical Darkroom

This course offers a step backward from contemporary digital photography. Students will learn film processing and gelatin silver paper processing in the wet darkroom, so that they can use older non-digital cameras, pinhole cameras and darkroom techniques in their contemporary photographic imagemaking. The course will explore how this traditional photographic practice and the digital world can be linked. MU Core category: Creative Arts. Notes: This course may incur a fee in addition to tuition.  Pass/No Pass grading not available. 4 crs.
