WR 340  Writing for New Media

This course will use writing for today's Internet media, newspapers, and magazines to help students sharpen their written-language skills and improve their research and information-gathering techniques. Students will learn how the demands of presenting information to a general audience strengthen both their writing fundamentals and their powers of observation. This exploration of journalism, freelance writing, and electronic media presentation focuses on clear, concise, accurate writing. Prerequisites: WR 221  or equivalent. 4 crs.
