MUP 380  Composition Studies I

Applied lessons in music composition. Topics such as orchestration, arranging, counterpoint, formal structures and variation technique are explored with the goal of creating a varied portfolio of work that meets a high professional standard. Prerequisites: Completion of 1 year of the Marylhurst Music Core or equivalent and department permission. Notes: By arrangement only. May be repeated for credit. 1 cr.
