MU 136  Diatonic Aural Skills II

Development of listening, singing and improvisation skills in relation to the materials studied in MU 126 . Listening skills include recognizing, notating and analyzing medium-length rhythms, melodies and harmonic progressions using most diatonic chords. Singing skills include recreating at sight complex diatonic melodies and harmonic progressions in arpeggiated form. Meets three hours per week. Prerequisites: MU 135.   2 crs.
