Development of listening, singing and improvisation skills in relation to the materials studied in MU 125. Listening skills include recognizing, notating and analyzing rhythms, diatonic melodies and harmonic progressions using I, IV, and V chords. Singing skills include recreating at sight intermediate diatonic melodies and simple harmonic progressions in arpeggiated form. Meets three hours per week. Prerequisites:MU 115 or passed the Aural Fundamentals Proficiency. 2 crs.
