LIT 379  Early Modern Literature and Culture

This course studies English literature, literary culture, and language during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Topics may include, for example, literature of travel and exploration, seventeenth-century literature, visual culture, and dramatic literature other than Shakespeare, e.g., the idea of the Renaissance or Spenser. 4 crs.
