LIT 370  Shakespeare

This course introduces students to a range of Shakespeare's works, including comedy, tragedy and history, as well as selected sonnets. The course emphasizes increasing facility in reading Shakespeare and close, critical reading of the texts. Students may also explore some of the following topics: poetics, Early Modern cartography, the play of identity, film adaptation and Shakespeare in popular culture. 4 crs.
