LIT 357  Literature in Translation

A sustained study of the literature of a culture or language other than English. Students will be asked to consider the nature of translation and the relationship between writer, reader and a linguistic community. It also provides the students with the opportunity to read works that fall outside of the Anglo-American traditions. Topics vary from term to term.  MU Core category: Community & Global Engagement. May be repeated for credit. 4 crs.
